JUNCTURE
Robins and Rabbits know meadow fair
First bright of summer day
Seek their lot and mind their care
To be and while away
Attend the clock with peck and flight
Or whiskers long and hop
And flee to solace of brush and height
When threaten shadows drop
Subtle time escapes at wing of night
With dusk it need belong
To nest they take withdrawn from sight
And sleep a whispered song
But wonder not where it was bound
The Summer’s ardent glow
No mystery there that can’t be found
The Robins and Rabbits know.
